This is a remake of the Spanish original "Open your Eyes" and is even better than the original. Penelope Cruz acted in the original and in this film. Tom cruise is great and Cameron Diaz's dialog is very powerful in the car scene. Cameron Crowe makes good use of the high budget for this film. The acting is good and the story is even better. This movie is based on post-modern literature in which the story is fragmented into parts like pieces of the puzzle. This is a thinking movie that requires the viewer to pay attention and you really need to watch it at least twice to figure it out. This is about all the good things in life: love, friends, sex, and death. It is a love story, drama and science fiction all in one. This movie has something to say. It is truly rare that a movie leaves this kind of mark on you. It makes you ponder about life. |
