Very classy but very creepy horror.

Long after the credits role up, there are some scenes in the film that stay on your mind. This is a first class horror movie that makes films like Final Destination 2 and Freddy vs Jason look like episodes of Will and Grace.
Although the story isnt 100% original {this is a variation of the book 'Turn Of The Screw' and has more than a few elements form the '6th Sense'} it is still brilliantly executed and actually far superior than the Bruce Willis movie.
Special effects are kept to a bare minimum and the film more concentrates on character development and the fear of not seeing what the monster that might lurk in the shadow looks like.
Before this film i was never impressed with Nicole Kidman but her performance in The Others is flawless and very convincing as we watch her character desend into near madness in her desperate attempt to protect her photo-sensitive children from the sunlight and the possibilities of Demons in the darkness.
This film is genuinely creepy and there are a couple of scenes where the hairs on the back of your neck will stand {watch out for the scene where her children draw pictures of the 'ghosts' in the house}.
