A perfect cure for insomnia

Even knowing up front this film would be mostly about the expression of internal dialogue (a Henry James signature) couldn't have prepared me for the sheer boredom that this movie yawned out. This movie drags at such a turtle's pace you begin to hate the characters by the end. The movie attempts to portray a subtle climax of emotion, but fails so utterly that it feels like Chinese Water Torture: slow, overtly deliberate, and progressively painful. While the scenery and cinematography were gorgeous, they doth not a movie make. |
