I was kinda chagrined to see the professional critics had panned this movie. I thought it was great -- until the rock choreography started. I mean, did they really sing rock songs in the 1300's? Mebbe they did! Anyway, I thought the rock music made the movie a parody of itself, which was unfortunate because, like "Mulholland Drive," in which Ledger's girlfriend Naomi Watts starred, it had the makings of something wonderful. Too bad the directors in both cases didn't have the courage of their ideas. In the end, though, I liked the movie and want to see it again. Of course, it was all about Heath. |
