The vivid imagination of Hayao Miyazaki has created many wonderful works of art, including his most recent released in 2002 in the USA, "Spirited Away". But this movie blew me away. With beautiful scenery and gory violence, this movie is one of Miyazaki's best works ever. The plot is of a boy named Ashitaka who finds a demented boar in his town and kills it, finding an object made by Iron Town. He sets off in his journey to Iron Town with his elk, and that's only the beginning. He meets a girl named Princess Mononoke who lives in a forest where the inhabitants of Iron Town are killing the animals and spirits in it. Ashitaka then is in a fight against Iron Town's people, in a fight for the forest and all the lurking creatures in it. |
