All in all, i found it difficult to rate this film any lower,because alot of apparent originality went into it's production. I saw it twice at an art theatre in Highland Park Ill.,and probably would have went there again had it not left. In a nut-shell,the movie was excellant fun!Comedy hemmed in,good rock music (original rock) and fabulous costumes. I heard a few woman exiting the theatre amazed at how good his make-up job was. It also struck a raw nerve when mention of David Bowie and Iggy Pop came up because i have been a huge fan of theirs for years. The end musical number was most nerving for the main character did the most excellant Iggy-like performance i'd ever seen. It has a Rocky Horror flair to it,but in it's own manner. Put all aside before you watch it though,and just prepare to have fun---If you can --see it in a theatre!!!!!!!! DAS |
