this movie is fantastic. its only flaw is how hard it is to follow, but once you follow it it is a masterpiece. by far the best screenplay ive ever seen!
NOTE for DVD!!(read after seeing it at least once): towards the end of the movie, just before sammys wife asks for her insulin over and over again (im not sure about that, but i do know its around there) we see sammy in a wheelchair in the mental institution. watch this shot frame by frame. you will see that a doctor passes by sammy, and once he has passed, the man in the wheelchair is not sammy but leonard! an interesting choice by the director, to subconsciously reveal to us the end of the movie. check it out! |
