Best casino shoot-out......

This movie is star studded....Christian Slater, David Arquette, Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, Dikembe Woodbine dress up like Elvis Presley and rob one of the major casino's in Las Vegas. They dress up like Elvis , which is genius, since the hotel is holding its annual International Elvis Look-Alike celebration. Obviously, no one will suspect anyone in an Elvis costume to rob the casino. Plus with all the Elvis look-alikes, how do you report the robbery?... "Officer, the suspects were dressed like Elvis"...that would narrow the suspect list to about 500. hahahaha.
Anyhow, the robbery goes wrong and lots of people get hurt. I will say that the shooting scene in the casino is very well put together. The weapons are filmed in slo-motion and its a beautiful thing to see Kevin Costner's twin nickel plated .45's shooting in slo-motion. My only problem with this film is that, it seems to go too long, i think if they would have made it 30 minutes shorter , more folks would like it. Another thing that i dont like is the fact that 20 minutes into the movie the only bad guys left are Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner. Courtney Cox plays Kurt's twisted love interest.
The movie is visually good just a bit too long. It's not for everyone. And the title 3,000 Miles to Graceland, has nothing to do with "Graceland" in Tennessee.
I recommend this movie to all gun enthusiasts and folks who have wanted to see Costner, Woodbine, Arquette, Slater and Russell as antagonists.
The biggest surprise is Kevin Costner's role...he is a bad , bad Mo'-Fo'. Its an action packed film so watch it and decide for yourself. |
