Hip in some ways but not in others...

...in the sense that there are a few biggish bloopers like no airbag in a brand new expensive Range Rover-oops, and the only member of the cast wearing a Tag watch is dismissed from guilt like magic after being filmed on a surveilance video stealing drugs from a Police evidence locker with his Tag watch plainly visible. Another problem with this film was an over the top exchange at the end that covers such topics as wiping yer ass and masturbating in tanning salons. Doesnt really fit the sleek Seagal aesthetic to me. I think this film is the reason why Seagals carreer dropped into oblivion in the years that followed. I cant say I feel all that impressed with a professional product that suffers from teething problems. Kind of good action but they dont really make up for the extent of the goofs which are essentally asking you the viewer to be stupid and just go along with it. ***** it. |
