Mediocre direction/story, great acting/script

I really haven't been into no holes barred action movies since I was a preteen in the 80s, but I actually enjoyed this flick. In my maturity, I like my action mixed in with suspense, sci fi, mystery, etc. ...but, this action flick was entertaining enough to keep me intrigued throughout the whole movie. [SPOILER ALERT] The direction and story was ok, although Lou Diamond Phillip's character's plot twist was really cool, but this movie really excelled in the witty script, action and superb acting. I look forward to the main actor's future work and also the script writer's future work. Lou Diamond Phillips was great and really needs to get back into top billing roles. He's still has the chops. Everyone did a great job acting in this flick, especially the Afro American guy, who stode with him at the end. |
