I really really enjoyed this film; there is just so much to like about it. It is a story and insight to the wild living times of 80's rock music; it brings it too life again makes you feel as if you were there; I was born after all that; so it is an insight for me.
Mark Whalberg and Jennifer Aniston has amazing chemistry and make a great couple; wharlberg is almost perfect as a wannabe rock star, he has the mix of rock star aggression and human sensitivity, although he is sometimes a little bland. Aniston is refreshing and funny.
There are alot of comic moments in the film. The guy who is the band- Steel Dragon's manager is hilarious.
Visual effects are realistic, the consert scenes are fantastic and make the viewer feel as if they are there.
However, i do feel that the plot takes a turn for the worst when it's nearing the end; it goes just a little over the top, and the exsit of Aniston leaves something missing.
Overall a must see film for a rock fan of any type! |
