Overall, a classic

Despite the similarity between "Snatch" and the Director's earlier work "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", I found this movie stimulating, enjoyable, and refreshingly off-beat. The story's sheer originality deserves a lot of praise on its own. It uses clever British subtle humor that progresses throughout the film and combines nicely with an otherwise dramatic work. A favorite scene is the burning of the trailer with Brad Pitt as the Piker. One can see the tension and emotion growing inside him and is characteristic of the film's great acting. Another memorable scene is the with "the Russian" and his persistence in living.
Overall, a classic. |
