This movie was SUPPOSE to be tongue in cheek. And what's wrong with that? What did you want? Same old *****; Jason lumbering around the woods dismembering counselors? Oooo! That's never been done before. Not to disrespect the series-'cause I am a big fan- but God bless these guys for taking it in a new direction. The deaths scenes were really good. What about that chick who had her face frozen solid and then busted to pieces. Tell me that wasn't great. You've never seen that ***** before in a Jason movie. The scene where they sent him back to Camp Crystal Lake and gave him those two girls to beat up was a thing of beauty; it was absolutely priceless. The very last scene with the two campers looking up into the sky was equally hilarious. That was a real stroke of genius. This was a great film if you can appreciate campy humor (get it?) You guys just need to take it easy and not take the film so seriously. Yeah, maybe it wasn't as suspenseful as the others, but what it lacked in tension, it made up for in goofy humor that was still as bloody as a 'Friday the 13th' movie should be. Relax, take a few hits, and laugh your ass off. |
