I was VERY depressed the summer this movie came out. My girlfriend and I had just split, and being the catastrophiser I am, I'd given up on ever finding love again. And then I saw this movie, mostly on a dare (you won't go see that! Uh huh! Uh uh! etc...), and it revamped my view of love, "overcoming all obstacles." So I'm a believer again, thanks largely in part to this wonderful, vibrant, gaudy, loud, and strangely touching movie. After all, "The Story is about Love." |
