Enemy at the gates is the sad but true stroy of World War II in Russia. The movie takes place with the invasion of Stalingrad and youn Vaselli Zietsef (Jude Law) is dragged into the heart of it. With his expert skills in marksmen his reputation is soon learned by the Nazi army. The acurracy of the Russian political influence on the war, the brutal tactics of the Red army and its affect on everyday people like ourselves. I think this movie had a good idea, great potential and excellent stroyline. The only thing is it wasn't executed very well. Some of the war scenes are very unaccurate and can easily be identified as being staged. Ovreall, this movie deserves recognition. |
