More apples
by David (movies profile)

I saw this movie a couple of years ago by accident when I was channel surfing while waiting for my wife to return to the motel room after her seminar. The movie is a sleeper of a movie in that the plot is slowly revealed - it is not clear where it is going until it is half over. It is a clean romantic comedy that is surprisingly good. What I liked about it the most is that Rebecca Harrell plays the female lead as a 19 or 20 year old. She is the one who played the part of 8 year old Jessica Riggs in the movie Prancer (1989) which my wife and I both love (we watch it ever year at Christmas). It is good to see her in this movie also. Although she is all grownup, she still has a lot of the same endearing mannerisms that she had in the movie Prancer.
The movie is all about a family run apple farm that is taken over by the owner's son who does not do too well as an apple farmer until Rebecca Harrell's character comes along. |
