The movie was about things you don't know

To say that this movie is hard to follow or seemingly about nothing simply means that you don't know anything about pre- and post-Castro Cuba, of the closing of an open society, of prejudice against gay men, or pain, happiness, struggle or loss. You mustn't know much about being human either. The onset of the American AIDS epidemic must be a mystery.
I would urge anyone interested in any of the topics above to see this movie. Javier Bardem is ingenius, the cinematography is brilliant and Julian Schnabel proves that he should never have become a painter but gone directly to movie direction. |
