A Mood To See Again!

For the first time that I have seen the film "In The Mood For Love" on video, I was eagerly awaited to see this romatic feature from Hong Kong, and I am so glad that I finally seen it, and also it was such a blissful and lovely experience. "In The Mood For Love" is from innovative Korean filmmaker War-Kor Wai is believed to be the best movie from the Orient so far of the 21th Century of the history of world cinema, which tops othe films from the Orient such as "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", "Shall We Dance", "Raise The Red Latern", and all the Akira Kurosawa films all combined. The plot focuses on two live-in boarding house couples whom both of them rent each separate rooms they been settled in. It starts which a beautiful and devoted wife(MAGGIE CHEUNG) who's live-in husband is going to a business trip and another couple focuses on a newlywed husband(TONY LEUNG), a busy businessman whom both of them find out that their spouses are both having an affair. The two neighboring boarding resdents had a intimate friendship which started their suspensions into solitude, compassion, honesty, and itimacy of their forbidden bonding which can lead to a desprate and unforgettable journey. This movie should have been nominated for the 2000 Best Foriegn Film as well as Best Original Screenplay and Best Cinematography. Cheung and Leung are both heartwaming and sublimely well-acted. I'm recommanding for everybody who has not seen it yet! |
