This film reminded me too much of Jacobs Ladder, in both story and visuals. It is perhaps the best Hellraiser movie but is less of a horror flick and more of a morality play.
It has taken the concept of facing your demons to the most literal sense and deals with the subject of adultary, family responsibility, drug taking and back stabbing.
The Pin Head character seems more good than evil in this film coz in the twist towards the end we learn that he is teaching the main charater a lesson in morality and responsibility.
The visuals were very good aswell and the dream sequence in the hospital reminded me the Bruce Willis film Death Becomes Her.
This film was a pleasent surprise from the other Hellraiser moves coz it actually had some depth...although it was a little 'churchy preachy' at times. |
