They've got the Groove!

I purchased this film as I have a daughter entering high school in a few weeks. I wanted to get a prespective of today's teens. Especially since she's on the Band's Dance Team. :o)
I appreciate how this movie was made to be so realistic. These girls did an Outstanding Performance acting in their roles.
I remember a visiting band that was made up of blacks and they performed with the goove this band had. Very Nice! I would love to see this, again. Maybe I will over the next four years of my daughter's high school. Gotta attend those football games. :o)
This movie touched on real issues facing teens today. To tell you the truth, they're the same issues that faced my classmates over 20yrs ago. Every parent that has a child in high school needs to see this film for reminders, and for examples on how to deal with these issues & teens.
Notice, when you watch this movie, how all the girls seemed to have divorced parents. The one teen who's mother & father stayed in touch with her on a regular basis, is the one that turned out to have the brightest academic future. (I can related as I'm divorced and we share weekly custody of our daughter.) Divorce is okay if the parents tolerate one another for the child's sake. Both parents MUST interact in their child's life as this is what's best for the child/teen.
