Phantasm IV Scores!!!

What a surprise to see actual unscreened footage from the original film in this movie. It is more cohesive than Coscarelli's other efforts, and has great imagery shot more than 30 years ago that was meant for the first film. The Phantasm series is often rather "out there" in terms of story, what with inter-dimensional time and place hopping, dwarfs, and silver orbs. A pair of them pop out of a rather inventive place concerning one character. Although not the most popular of horror film franchises that came out of the late 70's/early 80's, Phantasm has a strong cult following of fans. |
