This wasn't such a great movie, except for the brilliant performance of Geoffrey Rush. The rest of the cast were fine as well, including my old favorite, Michael Caine. The visuals were not very good for a historical drama - the camera work lacked excellence, and the costumes were nothing special. The direction was less than excellent. The story was funny and entertaining by times, not so much because of itself, but because of the talented Mr Rush's ability to make the most of it. |
