I accidentely switched by a movie channel showing this movie, and so I decided to see it. I definetely did not regret doing so afterwards, as it was one of the most fascinating movies I have ever seen.
Joaquin Phoenix and Kate Winslet are magnificent in their roles as the forbidden love connection of the movie, and Geoffrey Rush delivers, as always, a brilliant performance. The plot was nothing short of spectacular and all in all it was an amazing film.
It does has some very strong and moving scenes with Phoenix and Winslet and it is not a fairytale ending type of film. This, however, only increases my love for it.
I recommend this to all those who love quality films. |
