where does one start in writing a review for this movie? it's just simply a marvelous movie. i think anyone that was a kid and had a passion for anything would like this movie. it's not just a rock and roll movie. thematically, it's about passion for something that you feel is bigger than life itself. it's about the sacrifices that we make for that love. it's about growing up really fast, and having to make hard choices about your life and who you are. the music is awesome. get the soundtrack. philip seymour hoffman is excellent, as well as patrick and kate's (performances). i agree that cameron crowe is great at what he does. you can see that the movie itself was made out of love. i know it sounds corny, but just look at how the film portrays rock and roll and the musicians that make it to be larger than life (at least in the beginning). i can probably write pages more in praise of the movie, but i think i've written enough. "you're not cool. i've met you. i know you're not cool." |
