Being a musician and having 'gigged' some, I can atest to much of this film being true to the rock and roll lifestyle. It's also a heart-felt film about unconditional love and determination. Acting by all was good and I never felt as though any of the story was beyond reason. Oh, it was funny as hell, and often in a very dry sense which may be why it didn't sell a lot of tickets... but then again, were it dumbed-down for the cinema hordes I'd likely have never finished watching it. |
