Good film but a little bit overrated

Gives you the ideal love conquers all theme, based around the love affair of Derek and Sara and Sara's aspirations of getting into Julliard school for Dance. Long story short- Sara does ballet, Mum dies in car crash, goes to live with her Dad, goes an all-black school, falls for Derek, goes to parties with him, he helps her get her dance back on, people against relationship, they split, she gets in and they get back together plus a few fights, some guns fired and a cool dance routine at the end.
Hasn't got much going for it except the young cast (Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas), up to date hip hop and Romeo and Juliet theme. |
