Phoenix and Theron were but young actors in 2000 and they were teamed with some seasoned folks as Caan, Dunaway and Burnstyn. So naturally, who gets to take their cloths off, even if they are not closeups. Phoenix's butt shot is pretty distant and the shot of Theron as she displays her breasts was worth doing a replay. Aside from distant nudity, the film is OK. It is a seedy world of politics and business in the big city. The last scene with Phoenix and Theron was a bit of a surprise but not totally unexpected. The Yards is a decent rental. Get it free at your local library ! |
