No, this isn't quite "Silence...", but its totally different for the most part, so its kind of unfair to compare the two (like it seems most critics are too much). Some comparisons are envitable, but "Silence" is one of the best ever, so one shouldn't even expect it to live up to that. For me, however, it almost did in its own way. It was just much more action-packed and gory while Silence was more about psychological effects on the characters audience. I personally liked them both in their own ways. Silence scared me much more this, but truthfully it was kind of nice not to be freaked like that again by Hannibal. The story and acting are wonderful, and the direction was too. |
