Remember the Titans is a phenomenal movie about racial prejudice in the 60s and how an integrated high school football team can learn to get along, even if the rest of the world can't. I normally don't get into dramas but dang, this movie makes you laugh, cry, and just say wow.
What makes the mood of Remember the Titans so strong is not just the storyline but the actors. Denzel Washington deserves an Oscar for his performance. He is one of the greatest actors of all time, and it shows in this movie. The "team" does a great job of expressing character change and getting along. This isn't a cheesy true story movie. No, this is a classic that everyone should have on their entertainment center shelf. 4 stars |
