Saw the movie The 6th Day. The movie stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. The 6th Day is a sci-fi and action combo that is set in the future where cloning humans is banned by law. Pretty much everything else is being cloned like pet animals and human organs. Arnie works in a futuristic helicopter charter company as a pilot. The company behind all the cloning however has already conquered the technology of human cloning is already doing it secretly for important people like sportstars (like replacing a fatally injured sportstar with his clone). Due to a mistake Arnie also gets cloned. The chamchas from the company are behind him now to destroy him and his family.

Though the movie delivers the Arnie's trademark (dumb) action, it is a good sci-fi movie too. The moral issue of human cloning has been depicted well making you think about it (and it is not too far off in our future too). The cloning technology shown in the movie requires two things - any tiny body part containing the DNA and the memory of the person. In the movie the memory of the person is transferred using the optic nerve. But, to nitpick I wonder how they also transferred the other senses like touch, pain, sound, smell and taste through the optic nerve! Also, they store the memory on some kind of storage. But, what are the storage requirements for say a 20 year old adult's memory? Is it too huge to be stored or is it within reasonable limits (like a few GBs or TBs)? In conclusion, though the movie becomes plain dishum-dishum in parts, the sci-fi and cloning stuff shown in the movie is worth the watch.
