a surprisingly enjoyable movie....

a couple hrs back, i just woke up and turned on the tv. Ran across this movie, at the opening credits. i saw a familiar face, whoopi golberg, so i left the rc untouched for a while. well this movie managed somehow to keep me watching for the entire time.
the guys who played as arthur and the magician totally stole the show. i could not wait to see them appear on screen. i found whoopi quite irritating though at times, she tried to hard to reprise her role in ghost, but unfortunately she played as a completely different role. arthur's wife and his loyal knight were also good.
the movie had a noticeably good soundtrack, touching, light depends on the scene's tone. i know somehow i'll need to get the cd's or mp3's someday(maybe as soon as i can find...:) as i am a movie score freak ;))
all in all, this is a light hearted film that could be enjoyed as long as u have nothing against history inaccuracies and the comedy genre as a whole. i have avoided to the plot summary of the film :). as i know it's more enjoyable to watch a good film u know nothing about. |
