Just about every British actor then alive (except for Sean Connery) appears in this star studded film. But the real stars are the airplanes and the extensive air battle scenes. Unfortunately the musical score is not in sync with the actions, so the film loses a lot of its potential impact. Also, there is a pathetic attempt to offer some side stories with romantic interests. The film is strongest when it examines the war room and the decisions that the air force personnel must make. Definitely worth a look. |
