What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you're thinking about planes? Peanuts? under the seat life preserves? No smoking sign? BOORING. This film gives flying a new, funny twist. From blow-up autopilots, to killer fish, this movie is sure to have you laughing your head off.

It all starts off as what seems like a perfectly innocent airplane ride. A couple has been going through a turblent relationship, and the girlfriend (Elaine, who just happens to be a flight attendant, tries to escape from her boyfriend(Striker) by plane. Striker has been scared of planes ever since his days in the war, but he gathers the courage to go anyways. After dinner on the plane, everyone seems to be a little queasy. Elaine consults a doctor, and finds out...The fish was bad! It must be food poisoning! Now, with all the plane captains out, it's up to Striker to land and save the day.

Airplane! is comedy at it's best. The writers had a clever way of making a normal plane ride entertaining. For example, when the captains pass out, Elaine puts the plane on auto-pilot, and auto-pilot is a giant, blow-up airplane pilot!

The story was memorable. It's not everyday someone makes a movie about a crazy plane. The acting was fairly good too, although sometimes Elaine's voice didn't really show emotion. There weren't many visuals, because it's an old film, but when they did show the plane flying through the sky, you could obviously tell it was a model.

Overall, I believe Airplane! deserved somewhere around a B. It may not be the best comedy I've seen, but it was an entertaining film, and I reccomend it to anyone whose up for a good laugh.
