I find it incredibly difficult to describe my feeling for this movie. I loved it, liked it; I could use any ecstatically positive word to describe it. The film was amazing - brutal and honest to a point of brilliance. The visuals were superb and trully unique; they add tremendously to the overall effect of the movie. The acting is amazing. Ellen Burstyn's performance will forever be in my mind - it is absolutely perfect...probably the best acting I have ever seen in my entire life, just because you actually believe what you see. The other main characters (Jared Leto, Jennifer Connelly, Marlon Wayans) also do very well in Requiem. Overall, this film is entralling, amazing, disturbing, and ... well... as close to perfect as I've seen. |
