I was quite surprised with the stereotypes presented in this film. A girl is a lesbian if she is a vegetarian and doesn't like kissing the boyfriend who slobbers worse than a dog? Of course, you knew she was gay when she was envisioning her fellow cheerleaders bouncing. I found it to be quite comedic and it even had a little romance. Using lines like "raging bull-dyke" and "silly faggots, dicks are for chicks" and "Adam and Eve! Not Adam and Steve" were quite humorous. What Megan was going through though, many girls could relate to...confusion, acceptance, love. I actually kinda like the film....the acting was funny, and Lyonne played a wide-eyed innocent cheerleader who was just a little confused very well. Very entertaining :) |
