many people have claimed this movie to be slow, boring, and not in the least bit realistic. but my friends, it truly is. The movie is art, its a form of poetry, to say the least, and if you can not notice that, then why are you bothering to watch such a beautifully created film? The movie focused on these five girls lives, like we were actually there, watching them live for a short period of time. That was what it was about, it wasn't just about five girls who killed themselves for reasons we do not know, and then just cutting to the credits. Sofia wanted us to be obsessed and intertwined in these girls lives as though we were the boys in the movie, watching the girls from their bedroom windows. WE were those boys, and WE fell in love with them. The book delivers this feeling as well, and it is overpowering. You should really read the book, even if you have already seen the film. It will shape your mentality.
A+ to this movie, to those who acted in it, to the beautiful visuals, and the story line. |
