The movie is predictable, but so aren't most romantic comedies. It would have been much better but the lead actress Shalom Harlow does some horrible acting, obviously hired for her looks. Pretty much it is the supporting actors that save this movie from being unwatchable. The supporting cast members are the ones you want to see throughtout but mostly what you get stuck with are long scenes with Harlow. Jake Weber as Dr. Beverly Kirk steals every scene he is in. While watching I often found myself asking what does this handsome, kind doctor see in the female character he, as with much of the male cast, are so transfixed with. In the end its a cute popcorn movie that doesn't make you think so its good for vegging out and it also is a good showcase for the supporting cast who I would like to see do a lot more leading roles. |
