The Perfect Ending To An Awesome Trilogy

The SCREAM series is arguably one of the best (if not the best) horror series ever made. With most series (of any genre), there is always a dropoff or decline in one of the movies. The difference between the SCREAM series and most other series is that all of the films are excellent. They stay on exactly the same level on greatness. SCREAM is just as good as SCREAM 2, which is just as good as SCREAM 3.

The acting and directing here are just as good as they have always been. The story here is also very original. You'd think that the third SCREAM movie would strike out but it doesn't. This is a movie that doesn't break it's rules about trilogies (basically there are none). A good example of this is that anyone can die anytime. This being said within the first 10 minutes of the movie, a character who has already survived through both of the other movies is offed.

Even if it is a little long, the story here is still perfect and ends the trilogy on the perfect note. The ending also has good twist. You'd also think, with two other twist endings used in both of the other SCREAM movies, the ending would be predictable but Wes Craven still continues to surprise. This movie still combines some genuinely frightening scares with some really funny and witty jokes.

Overall, this is the perfect way to end the trilogy. Wes Craven has created one of the coolest and best horror series around (including NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET) and deserves more credit than he gets. Strongly Recommended for fans of the first two movies.
