Most people I think like myself have seen this movie and waved it off as a well spent 2.5 hours. However, this is a movie resembling many Kubrick's classics that tend to grow on you the more times you watch them. Everything from the cast, to the photography in this movie is superb. The editing deserves an Oscar on its own. Although Matt Damon did a good a job, I think there are other actors in Hollywood that could have put this character together a little better. Jude Law & Hoffman did an outstanding job. Paltrow on the other hand is mediocre at best. Thumbs up to the director for giving such wonderful attention to the backdrop of the film (Italy). Story is wonderful, based on a 1950s novel. All in all, probably the most underrated film to hit the big screen. |
