I loved this movie when I saw the first time at 11 years old. I wanted that mirror. I thought it was the coolest thing I have ever scene even though it was a cartoon. Think about it a mirror that could see anywhere. Oh the things an 11 year old boy would ask to see. Times may have changed but I still want that mirror and I still think Beauty and the Beast is a fantastic movie that amazes me with wonder. Every single character in the movie just fills the screen with so much wonder and enrgey that the movie would not be the same without one of them. From the begaining with the towns people saying Bonjuor to the end where the entire kingdom is singing "tail as old as time" Beauty and the Beast is a classic that no onther movie has been able to touch with as much magic and heartfelt emotion. That rose "unlike any other rose" was a animation wonder. It glew just right that when it was in the scene it upstaged the characters and all eyes were on it wondering how much time is left and how many petals were remaining. Geston was a butt head that threaten Bell's chance with happines and the wonder the Beast. He was a villian that has one of the best villian songs (in the play) all about himself-it is aptly called Me. The Beast rages with anger and through the greatful sacrafice of Bell to stay in her father's place is calms down like the eye of the storm. Bell only fears what she does not understand but then understand what she had fear enough to see past what was on the outside to what was on the inside. The music was catchy and was good enough to have people singing. Sing one song, any song, from the Beauty and the Beast someone hearing you will know exactly what you are singing and possibly the next veruse. Beauty and the Beast a good movie to watch over and over again and still enjoy what I enjoyed the first time: that mirror. I have got to get me one of those. And as the song states "Tail as old as time song as old as rhyme" nothings better then "Beauty and the Beast". |
