ironic how the porn industry is so visible, yet this is the only movie i know of with this kind of plot and it was made so long ago. someone commented about George C Scott being a bad actor; although, he did a few bombs-mostly towards the end of his career, an actor with the resume of Patton, Dr. Strangelove, The Hustler, the Changling and this movie is not a low-rate actor in my book.
to the movie- this was very well done; Scotts character doesnt just portray a 'midwestern religious conservative' fish out of water - he also adapts to his new Los Angeles seedy-town environment in the frustrating search to find his runaway daughter whom he found out was in a porn movie; he hires a private det, played by Peter Boyle, to help him, but the results came mostly from his own efforts
