The weird concocted story was the worst part. The acting alone ruined the movie.
The original with Steve McQueen in 1958 was much better. It may have had lame special effects, but the story was good enough and the acting was top notch.
They completely changed the story for the remake. The blob is no longer something from a meteor. It's part of biological warfare experiment being conducted by the army. That could have been a decent way to go about doing the remake, but the dialogue was like something from a comic book, as was the story.
There's no drama and no action. The whole movie was just stupid. |
