The story flows rather nicely about a Bonnie & Clyde type of duo on the run from the law in an otherwise innocent backdrop! Kit would have made a good soldier in Iraq because his motto is to shoot first and to ask questions later! I noticed how rather odd religious music played at key turning points of the flick (first with the burning of her dad's house and second with her capture by the dude in the helicopter)! Sissy Spacek plays an age 15 kid smitten with love over a 25 year-old loser who can't even hold a garbageman job! When Kit gets caught by the police finally, subsequently Kit has the chutzpah to boast that he had a chance to kill some rich dude and rich dude was just lucky that Kit was in a good mood that day, that's all! How people can live in such a state of increasing depravity is beyond belief! The moviemakers tried to make a statement with amazing scenery but I wasn't too impressed by that, either! |
