A cinematic masterpiece. My all-time favorite. I remember watching for the first time with my Grandfather and being enthralled. I have shared it many times over with my own son. I love the color. Marvalous technicolor. I really gives it a great feel. (Although a good movie, compare the coloring in this to Prince of Thieves to see what I mean.) The cinematography is great. One of my favorites is the use of shadows to show the action, especially the climatic sword fight at between Robin and Sir Guy.
If you don't have this classic in your collection, you are missing a fantastic piece of cinemaic excellence. |
