There is quite a bit of language and sexual content in this movie. However, I did find the acting well done. I saw this movie way back when it came out in theatres and loved it. It remains one of my favorites.
It is about a young couple, played by Demi Moore (before the implants) and Rob Lowe. You see how they meet, sleep together that very night, and, regardless of her embarrassment of being so promiscuis, somehow begin a relationship. Their best friends, played by Jim Belushi and Elizabeth Perkins, do everything in their power to keep them apart, because they have no one and do not want to lose their best friend to someone else.
Rob Lowe is torn between being in love, which he didn't really want to happen, and being a player. He struggles with wanting to be with Demi and wanting to please his best friend, Belushi.
Neither one of them were prepared to find their significant other so soon in life and experience the struggles of leaving single life behind.
It's bittersweet and definitely a must see. |
