It is not surprising how much of the same dialogue appears in the remake, as most of it was taken from the original story by Elmore Leonard. If you like westerns, I would highly recommend checking out "The Complete Western Stories of Elmore Leonard", published in 2004. It contains all of his early writings ("3:10 to Yuma" included) originally published in pulp western magazines of the 1950's. They are all wonderfully entertaining reads. |
