This is quite possibly the most boring movie I have ever seen. I actually read half a magazine while "watching" this awful movie and never missed a thing. The movie just doesn't work anymore, a huge portion of the film is shots that last incredibly long because i guess back in the 60s, these visual effects were amazing, well theyre nothing but average today.
There are at least 5 sequences where you watch a space ship slowly decend towards a planet for 10 minutes, IM NOT KIDDING, 10 MINUTES. There is also a "worm hole" sequence at the end of the movie where nothing is on the screen but flashes of incoherent color, this sequence lasts about 10 minutes as well.
A good hour of this movie needs to be cut out. The visual effects are no longer impressive which makes these scenes patheticly boring. |
