The movie is true to the book. If you liked the book, you will probably like the movie. If you have never read the book, then you should be made aware that the story is a prediction of a world in which individual freedom has been sacrificed for policital stability. This encompasses the use of videdo cameras, spies and the strong censurship of language. These elements exist to some degree today, and are arguably increasing in magnitude. People that are concerned about such issues will see value in the movie, those who do not -- will not. |
