Anderson's Best Yet

'Rushmore' is without doubt director Wes Anderson's best film to date. Personally, I would have liked to seen Mr. Murray and both Wilson brothers nominated for Oscars for Best Supporting Actor and Best Original Screenplay, respectively, but what can you do. Jason Schwartzman is pitch-perfect, as is Olivia Williams, the never, ever bad Brian Cox, and, of course, the humorous Bill Murray, setting himself up for a career of intelligent yet subtle offbeat comedy (Lost in Translation, Broken Flowers). Not to be missed. |
