Naturally, the story of Jeffrey Dahmer is not an easy one to digest. In this version, actual events have been condensed and/or manipulated to compress the story into a 90 minute film. However, they pretty much got the story down, and what a horror story it is. The actor who plays Dahmer is very good, very convincing. Too bad that can't be said for a few other actors in this film. Looks like they were yanked out of a Walmart in Indiana and thrust in front of a cardboard set and the director yelled "Action" before they had even learned their lines. This jolting and daunting fact sometimes realy takes you out of the film. BUT...all is not lost, because the interactions w/Dahmer and a few of his victims are TRULY bloodcurdling, and some of the images in this movie are graphic and unsettling. Worth a look if you're a fan of the genre. |
